Rolling Dawn is here to capture and create a long lasting memory that gives you that sense of nostalgia every time. We believe capturing your special day in motion truly depicts the happiness, love and good times had over the day and this is something that we love and hope your able to treasure for life.

Too create a truly unique memorable film we love to film using our vintage Super 8 cameras as well as a mix of Digital. Nothing beats the grainy feel of analog film and the “real wedding” feel it produces. Please inquire to find out more.

 

The main culprit behind Rolling Dawn Films is Nich.

“There was definitely some sort of affinity with a stills camera early on in my teens. The ability to capture a little moment in time really appealed to me. When I studied photography in art school I was instantly drawn to analog formats and the excitement of not knowing what you had captured until the film was developed.

My grandfather was always the man with the video camera, literally filming everything … literally everything. I loved sitting with him to watch what he had documented and it wasn’t until he passed that I came across his old 60s super8, and it being analog, I instantly fell in love with motion pictures and its ability to capture a heightened interpretation of emotion that a stills camera couldn’t. Now I’m the guy who is literally filming everything”.

FAQ

Music

Do we get to choose our music? We try and use licensed music from a music licence library but if there’s that one song that is special we can definitely talk about it. We love to chat about what genre/ style of music you like and happy to find something that works with the vibe of your day.

Turn Around times

How long before we get our films? It can vary depending on time of year. There is a peak and off peak season for weddings. We like to say 8-12 weeks but will try and let you know at time of wedding.

Package Customisation

Can we add and subtract parts of the packages? Yes, not every one wants the same and we can go through it all to suit your day.

Drone

Do we include drone? If we can we will. Sometimes weather, locations and time determine this but always like to get some establishing location shots to enhance the feel of the day.

Audio

Our Package B includes audio we capture during the ceremony as well as the speeches. This is then woven into the film to bring you back even closer to your day.

Travel

Do you travel? Absolutely love to Travel for weddings. Seeing new places is inspiring and we are able to look at new locations with fresh excited eyes.

Super8

This is those grainy nostalgic clips you will see through out our films. We love it but if you don’t we are so happy to shoot all digital.

Photographers

I love working along side other creatives and have a great list of recommended photographers or other vendors if you are stuck.

Changes

Can we make changes once we receive our films? For-sure we can. We’re not going to get it perfect every time and happy to do a round of changes to make it the dream film.
